BRAKES WORK

introductions

Hydraulic fluid brake system

We live in the world where motion is always being a part of it. In term of motion, brake has the important role to play.

What is brake? A brake is a mechanical device that inhibits motion by absorbing energy from a moving objects. It is used for slowing or stopping a moving vehicle, wheel, axle or to prevent its motion; most often accomplished by means of friction. Through the friction mechanism, the kinetic energy of moving objects is converted to heat which will be radiated to the surrounding air.

The brake works starting from the foot press down on the brake pedal of a car. A connected lever pushes a piston in the master cylinder which is filled by hydraulic fluid, named brake fluid or brake oil. The brake fluid gets squirted along a system of pipes into the bigger cylinder of the brakes on each wheel.

The hydraulic system multiplies the force of the foot applied on the pedal into enough force to apply the brakes and make the car stop; by the friction of the tire and the road. The most important things on the hydraulic system of brake is no leakage and no air trapped allowed which will cause brake fail.
